Customer Assistance Associate

The tasks of a Customer Assistance Associate at Tractor Supply include operating the register, helping customers with purchases and product questions, stocking shelves, maintaining store cleanliness, managing returns and exchanges, and supporting general store operations. They are expected to provide excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions.

Responsibilities of Customer Assistance Associate:

• Perform accurate customer transactions by correctly utilizing POS systems
• Administer cash, credit/debit card, and electronic payment mechanisms
• Issue receipts, handle refunds, and manage exchanges in a timely manner
• Confirm the cash register balance is correct at the beginning and conclusion of shifts
• Ensure pricing accuracy by efficiently scanning and bagging items
• Extend a warm welcome to shoppers and focus on delivering an enjoyable shopping interaction
• Provide support to patrons by attending to their questions, aiding in product searches, and detailing the different store amenities
• Effectively resolving customer disputes in a timely and respectful manner is vital for good customer service
• Steering customers towards suitable products while keeping them informed about promotions
