This role models cold-formed metal framing and integrated architectural finishes; incorporates design changes and existing-condition scans; participates in BIM coordination and clash detection; and produces shop drawings, bills of materials, fabrication support information, and layouts for jobsite technology.

Working both independently and collaboratively with internal teams, customers, trade partners, and external modeling partners, the technician helps ensure model accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project documents throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model cold-formed metal framing assemblies and integrated architectural finishes.
  • Review modeled fabrication tickets produced by external partners for accuracy and constructability.
  • Update models to reflect design changes resulting from project addenda and RFIs.
  • Maintain model accuracy throughout the life cycle of each project.
  • Collaborate with team members, customers, and trade partners throughout the BIM coordination process and related meetings.
  • Lead clash detection coordination efforts within the assigned group of projects.
  • Produce shop drawing packages for specialty interior and exterior architectural assemblies.
  • Create bills of materials from models to support fabrication and field execution.
  • Incorporate 3D scans of existing structures and conditions into BIM models.
  • Produce preliminary 2D elevation and 3D conceptual drawings supporting the preconstruction phase of projects.
  • Support modeling for robotic layout technology deployed on jobsites.
