Corewell Health Medical Group's Cardiovascular Services Department is expanding access to its advanced heart failure program and seeks an experienced cardiologist with heart failure interest to support this initiative. This unique practice opportunity would be within the Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology Section and have a desirable Monday through Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate is an experienced cardiologist with a strong interest in heart failure and a team-based, patient-centered approach.

• Regional Amyloid Referral Center
• Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence
• Advanced Heart Failure cardiac device program inclusive of Cardomems, Barostim, & Cardiac Contractility Modulation.
• CRT Non-Responder program in collaboration with EP
• Integrated Palliative Care program
• Pharmacist led GDMT Up Titration Clinic
• AHF structural heart transcatheter mitral/tricuspid valve replacement and TAVR program.
• Point of care testing readily available in the ambulatory clinic as well as IV/Infusion support.
• Excellent support from senior operations for ongoing process improvement and program development.

• Large qua ternary care facility with a well-established Heart Transplant (> 250 transplants) and LVAD programs (> 550 LVAD implants) having excellent outcomes surpassing national benchmarks
• High volume, well-supported Advanced Heart Failure Clinic serving over 9000 patients and growing with RN, MA, MSW, dedicated specialty nurse navigators, pharmacists, and pharmacy technician support
• High volumes and the busiest cardiovascular facility in MI performing a multitude of CV imaging studies (echo, structural echo, SPECT, PET, CMR, CT) with support from advanced imaging cardiologists
• Collegial setting in a stable practice with outstanding reputation amongst patients, providers, and hospital personnel
• Practice variety consisting of outpatient practice and the inpatient non-ICU rounding service
• Weekday schedule with desirable work-life balance
• Teaching opportunities with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Corewell Health’s Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program
• Primary location in Grand Rapids, Michigan with outreach practice locations in West Michigan

• Passion for the clinical care of patients with complex heart failure syndromes including those who might benefit from advanced heart failure therapies including LVAD and heart transplantation
