Job Title:
Middle School Interventionist

Job Summary:

The interventionist is responsible for analyzing data and collaborating with teachers, students, and parents. The interventionist will provide Math support for low-performing students. This position also includes management of the Student Support Room.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required
Associates Degree or higher preferred.
Teaching Certificate preferred
Strong technology skills
Works well in a team environment
Background working with middle school students
Flexible, patient, caring, and enjoys working with students
Good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to monitor student academic and behavioral performance.
  • Communicate with teachers and parents to plan interventions for students showing difficulties.
  • Create and implement academic interventions for students.
  • Work with middle school students to improve Math skills.
  • Administer assessments and analyze data to inform instruction and prescribe work plans for individual students.
  • Use technology to organize data and interventions.
  • Develop student caseloads and focus of content as dictated by continuously updated achievement data.
  • Communicate regularly with regular classroom teachers regarding the needs and progress of 31a caseload.
  • Manage state reporting of 31a students and interventions provided.
  • Maintain appropriate relationships with students: modeling appropriate communication, showing respect and support, promoting independent thinking and promoting good listening skills.
  • Respect the right to privacy of each child and family served.
  • Manage students that utilize the Student Support room.
  • Attend trainings as assigned by building principal/Curriculum Director.
  • Other duties as assigned by building principal or Curriculum Director.
