Lead Teacher (Full-Time) & Assistant Teacher (Part-Time)

Mi Childcare is a locally owned preschool creating an exciting alternative to the traditional classroom. We believe children ages 3–5 learn best when their bodies and minds are in motion. Our curriculum blends movement-based learning with hands-on experiences, encouraging exploration, creativity, and skill development. Every day, children engage in fun, safe, and meaningful activities that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

We are seeking a Full-Time Lead Teacher and Part-Time Assistant Teacher who share our vision and values. These roles are key to fostering a nurturing, active learning environment where children thrive.

Hours vary between 7 : 30 AM – 6 : 30 PM, depending on program needs.

• Lead by example, bringing enthusiasm and energy to movement-based learning.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for students, families, and staff.
• Implement our unique curriculum to support children’s physical, social, and academic growth.
• Create an engaging classroom where learning happens through play, creativity, and exploration.

Lead Teacher:
Have at least 1 year of center leadership / management experience.

• Meet Michigan child care licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Understand and can apply state licensing rules and regulations (required for Lead Teacher).
• Bring strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Are physically able to lift 40 lbs., actively engage with children at their level, and work indoors / outdoors in all seasons.
