CONTRACT:Part-time; teaching contract, shared time

COORDINATES WITH:Co-curricular professional learning team

Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School, Evergreen Campus, seeks a part-time (M-TH) music teacher for the remainder of the  school year. Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be comfortable with K-5 instruction, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply inquiry-based teaching approaches.

Ensure high-quality music instruction that incorporates praise and worship in a Christ-centered classroom

Create a classroom environment that celebrates students as image-bearers of Christ

Develop and implement plans for a music program and show written evidence of preparation as required

Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing

Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students

Participate in professional development opportunities

Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Michigan Teaching Certificate and/or Music endorsement/certificate

Bachelor's degree in music education preferred

Teaching experience in the relevant field preferred
