Inclusion Support Aide — Middle School

BUILDING:Grand Rapids Christian Middle School

SCHEDULE:School-year, 20-35 hours weekly

COORDINATES WITH:Inclusion Services Aides, Classroom Teachers, Educational Support Services

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inclusion Services Aide will support students requiring inclusion services with academic support, social coaching, health care, and/or mobility support.

• Support students receiving inclusion services in academic and social settings (including individualized support as appropriate)
• Support teachers with implementing individualized accommodations and modifications for students who receive inclusion services
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, Inclusion Coordinator, Inclusion Services Team, and Educational Support Services to adapt assignments and assessments
• Communicate relevant student progress and updates regularly with Inclusion Coordinator and team along with teachers
• Promote an inclusive setting
• Assist with supporting students at recess and lunch as scheduled by the Inclusion Coordinator
• Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator and Inclusion Services Team

• Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred but not required
• English and Bilingual (English/Spanish) positions available
