For more than 15 years our manufacturing facilities in Grand Rapids have helped the growth and success of GE Aerospace. We're producing high quality electronics and avionics parts and equipment to exacting standards. These include Avionics Computing Systems, Mission Systems, Navigation and Guidance and Vehicle Health and Data Management products.

As a Electronics Calibration & Inspection Specialist you will be calibrating test equipment, mechanical and electrical tools to certify acceptance. A high level of troubleshooting is required if equipment fails a calibration.

Role Summary
  • Calibration of all measurement and test equipment used for product acceptance, including test hardware, test software, and automated test equipment.
  • Requires inspection and identification of new equipment.
  • Calibration to specifications to assure accuracy and repeatability.
  • Validation of parameters affecting product quality.
  • Maintaining traceability of calibration sources and records to the NIST.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration of measurement and test equipment to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
  • Inspect and identify new equipment for calibration needs.
  • Validate parameters that impact product quality.
  • Maintain traceability of calibration records and sources to NIST standards.
  • Utilize computer skills to operate within Windows‑based systems and applications.
  • Interpret technical documents such as blueprints, electronic schematic diagrams, and product manuals.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Proficiency in electrical/electronic measurement techniques.
  • Understanding of electrical safety (120

    VAC / 220

    VAC 60

    Hz, and 400

    Hz 3‑phase systems).
  • Familiarity with physical measurements (e.g., temperature, torque, force).
  • Knowledge of basic quality techniques.
Must Be Able To Use The Following
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Digital multimeters
  • Spectrum analyzers
  • Generators
  • Ratio meters
  • Power supplies
  • Electronic counters
  • Automated test systems
  • Standard resistors, capacitors, and inductors
  • Angle position indicators, synchros, and rate table positioning systems
Eligibility Requirements
  • Electronic Technical/Vocational School certificates or associate degrees in electronic technology from an accredited institution.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED with two years of documented experience operating and testing electronic test equipment.
  • Assessment:
    Successfully complete a written assessment.
