You’ll join a team pushing the state-of-the-art in electro-mechanical cleaning machines — machines with battery protection systems, advanced down pressure and rpm control, HEPA filtration, orbital scrubbing, wet/dry capabilities, ergonomic systems, noise control, and more.
Position Summary
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be central in transforming ideas into commercial cleaning products that serve real customers every day. Your designs will influence machine robustness, field reliability, safety, cost, maintainability, and user experience. You’ll mentor others, lead cross‑functional teams, and steer our product roadmap in a dynamic, high‑stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle development of commercial floorcare equipment — from concept and prototyping through validation, certification, tooling, and launch
- Generate robust 2D/3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Design mechanical systems including drive trains, gearboxes, bearing supports, linkages, structural frames, and enclosure systems
- Select materials, fasteners, bearings, motors, sensors, and actuators to meet durability, cost, and performance targets
- Develop test plans and supervise validation of performance, reliability, safety, environmental (e.g. ingress, temperature) requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues in collaboration with Technical Service, analyzing failure modes and implementing design fixes
- Lead reliability and durability testing, accelerated life testing, vibration, fatigue, thermal cycling, etc.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 10+ years of experience in electro‑mechanical equipment or heavy machinery design
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of mechanics: bearings, gearboxes, structural analysis, mechanical tolerancing
- Experience with reliability, durability, testing, FMEA, root cause failure analysis
