Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000

In charge of designated projects and meeting customer expectations.

• Planning, administering, and completing assigned projects.
• Working with projects that cross multiple functional areas, such as facilities, operations, marketing, or administration. These assignments vary in length and complexity, but are generally not permanent.
• Must be able to meet and exceed customer expectations by assuring on-schedule, high quality deliverables.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with governmental regulations.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special service.
• Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of experience in a professional role.
