This role offers the opportunity to influence the next generation of bespoke creations through design excellence and technical mastery.
Base pay range$98,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Lead the creation of detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings, documentation, and procedures for original Bespoke designs
- Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to meet design intent, safety, quality, and cost objectives through concepting, prototyping, testing, and production refinement
- Develop and enhance new and existing product designs, including product line extensions, with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and innovation
- Optimize materials, processes, and construction methods to improve product performance, sustainability, and manufacturability while maintaining design integrity
- Oversee the development of physical prototypes through 3D printing, model shop fabrication, and manufacturing trials to validate designs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and product or process enhancement
- Partner across all work cells and functional areas to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and implement lean manufacturing and engineering best practices
- 3+ years of experience in furniture engineering, preferably in high-end residential or contract furnishings
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, preferred
- Advanced proficiency in engineering tools;
Solid Works experience strongly preferred - Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, design‑driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with a passion for craftsmanship, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Frequent standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods as required by project or production activities
- Lift and move materials, components, and prototypes up to 25 pounds independently
- Manual dexterity to handle models, tools, and materials in a workshop or prototype environment
- Visual acuity to read technical drawings, inspect products, and perform precise measurements
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
