OverviewInsight Global’s client in the Material Handling industry is seeking Electrical Engineers to join their team. This role involves designing and developing electrical control systems for industrial automation projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with project leads to develop schematic drawing sets based on project requirements.
- Design system layouts, network diagrams, and installation details.
- Prepare schematics and panel layouts for control panel fabrication.
- Generate bills of material for panels and coordinate procurement of field materials.
- Print, plot, and assemble drawing sets for electrician bids, stamping, and field installation.
- Identify and implement automation tools to improve departmental efficiency.
- Update drawings to reflect “as-built” status upon project completion.
- Actively contribute to team objectives and collaborative efforts.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing industrial controls in a CAD environment.
- Strong understanding of control systems and controllers.
- Electrical panel design experience (ideal from the material handling industry, but industrial automation experience is acceptable).
- Familiarity with electrical schematic design, device layouts, and electrical panel design.
