Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-respected architecture & engineering firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & provide direction on mechanical engineering projects across a wide range of market sectors from commercial to healthcare, from concept to completion in compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee the production of all phases of construction documents including schematic documents, design documents, construction documents, bidding and construction administration.
• Perform business development functions, including marketing and networking & maintain involvement in professional organizations.
• Provide input to department standards and procedures.
• Collaborate directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams (electrical, architecture, civil) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct facility assessments, field assessments and engineering studies, and perform commissioning work and site visits.
• Provide mentorship & guidance to project team members to assist in their professional growth and development.
• Foster positive communication among team members and across disciplines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering for buildings.
• Subject matter expertise in building mechanical systems & strong problem solving ability.
• Excellent communication, leadership & organization skills.
• PE License (required).
• LEED AP and/or ASHRAE accreditation (preferred).

Salary: $125,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits and unique offerings included.
