Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager manages the development of engineering and architectural designs and construction activities for additions and improvements to airport assets, including, but not limited to, terminal and general aviation buildings, internal road systems, runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities and other features and fixtures. Establishes standards, best practices, and consistent procedures for the development of airport assets, leads project managers and coordinates with asset owners from all departments.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• Six years of project management experience in large scale development, design, or construction required.
• Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of civil and architectural engineering and construction management.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, construction diagrams, topographical drawings, plat maps, and related graphics and schematics.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills.
• Thorough working knowledge of federal and state statutes and codes for building construction, operations, and safety.
• Inclusive knowledge of ADA accessibility requirements related to public buildings and Universal Design principles.
• Thorough knowledge of managerial and supervisory principles and practics.
