Location: Butterworth Hospital – 100 Michigan St, Grand Rapids, MI

Employment Type: Part‑time;
Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.;
Days: Monday to Friday;
Hours: 0.04 weekly scheduled hours.

A Registered Dietitian who applies the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to provide direct patient care. Responsibilities include completing nutrition assessments, determining diagnoses, developing evidence‑based interventions, prescribing diet/feeding orders, coordinating medical nutrition therapy, monitoring progress, and providing nutrition counseling to both inpatient and outpatient populations.

• Competent RD with minimal supervision; adhere to the code of ethics; perform the NCP and Nutrition Focused Physical Exam.
• Maintain documentation per SOP, legislation, regulations, and organizational policies; support intern education.
• Collaborate with the Manager, Nutrition Services at least 4 hours every 60 days for Rehabilitation & Nursing Centers.
• Record and report clinical productivity and billing accurately.
• Advocate for patient care through interdisciplinary team engagement.
• Coordinate medical nutrition therapy for patients.
• Contribute to departmental and organizational metrics improvement.
• Communicate with media on relevant clinical matters when requested.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) with a CRT‑Registered Dietitian certification (180 days).

• Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
