To fuel that growth, we have another exciting opportunity as a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to our HR department and agency partners with a high degree of customer satisfaction, expertise, and timeliness.

• Reports payroll and tax issues and recommends system or process changes to improve go‑forward support of business needs.
• Recommends process improvements, system enhancements and alternatives based on Agency Partner needs.
• Provides exemplary customer service in all encounters.
• Assists with training or knowledge transfer activities as needed.
• Practices proper maintenance of payroll records, and aids in the creation of W‑2 forms, along with other year‑end requirements.
• Remains informed of multi‑state tax (federal, state, local) requirements including tax adjustments and balancing issues, as well as other payroll regulations. Possesses the ability to interpret and apply best practice to meet unique business needs.
• Provides concierge service in daily communication between Payroll Operations, Finance, HR Business Partners, Agency Partners, other vendor and employees. Uses judgment to elevate matters when necessary.
• Manages workload including new agency payroll implementations and ongoing payroll support of the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Administers payroll tasks and activities to meet the unique needs of each Agency Partner including but not limited to
  • Payroll data entry, data imports, computing and balancing payroll, auditing and posting, generating accounting data, distribution, reconciliations and reporting
  • Process and input employee changes such as deduction revisions, scheduled payments, benefit enrollments, form W‑4 and banking information
  • Process and input other earnings required for payroll such as bonuses, commissions, vacation payouts, fringe benefit imputed income, etc.
  • Wage Attachments administration, coordinating with vendors and agencies as appropriate
  • Off‑cycle check processing, voids and transaction follow‑up
  • Audit of all inputs and results, utilizing preview and post payroll reports, performing error corrections as needed
  • Execute and utilize payroll reports as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field – or recognized equivalent in education and experience, required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing, processing and/or consulting on payrolls, required.
• Multi‑state payroll experience, preferred.
• FPC or CPP Certification, preferred.

• Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Workday and/or ADP experience is a plus.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
