Gearhead Careers is looking for a Recruiting Administrator to join our team in Grand Rapids office at 7410 Expressway Drive SW, Grand Rapids. This position is responsible for creating strategic staffing approaches to attract a wide pool of qualified talent for the organization. Gearhead Careers looks for a mixture of talent for a combination of Office and blue‑collar jobs.

Gearhead Careers is a direct hire for the Morrison Industries’ family of companies. Our companies consist of Cisco, Forklifts of Michigan, Morrison Industrial Equipment, Mor‑Son Leasing Co., Used Parts Depot, Mor‑Value Parts, and Quantum Lift.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Talent Acquisition:
    • Manage multiple job postings in different locations
    • Review a high volume of resumes on a daily basis
    • Screen and categorize candidates
    • Complete multiple phone interviews and occasional in‑person interviews
    • Coordinate and schedule the interview process
    • Gather interview feedback and relay that information to hiring managers
    • Communicate with applicants during and after the interview process
    • Manage all stages of the recruitment process
  • Strategize:
    • Post jobs on multiple different hiring sites
    • Create exciting and useful recruiting tactics to attract top‑performing employees
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs
    • Travel approximately 10% of the time to meet with candidates or hiring managers
    • Manage Gearhead Career’s social media presence
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Schedule interviews, draft interview questions
    • Follow up on candidate application inquiries
    • Attend job fairs and other recruiting events
    • Create job descriptions as needed
    • Emailing, copying, and maintaining an organized calendar
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Successful completion of a drug test
  • Strong creative problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent time management abilities and a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to implement HR‑related tasks simultaneously
  • Enjoy working independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with  or ADP preferred but not required

Compensation starts between 45,/year, dependent on experience.
