Senior Human Resources Generalist
Location:
Wyoming, MI
Salary: $85,000-$105,000
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our clients growing manufacturing organization. This role will serve as a key business partner to operations leadership and employees, supporting a wide range of human resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and HR process improvement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day employee support.
Senior HR Generalist Responsibilities:- Partner with managers and supervisors to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions.
- Lead onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HR policies.
- Conduct workplace investigations and assist with conflict resolution.
- Support performance review processes, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting within the HRIS system.
- Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and retention programs.
- Assist with safety initiatives, workers’ compensation administration, and return-to-work programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, benefits administration, and talent acquisition.
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build credibility and develop relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
