Integration Support Lead Engineer (Mule Soft) – KPMG US
Join a hybrid role at KPMG's Digital Nexus technology organization. This position seeks a seasoned Mule Soft engineer to support and lead integration operations.
Responsibilities- Serve as the subject matter expert on Mule Soft, overseeing daily operations and health of integration environments and resolving complex integration issues
- Manage and prioritize production support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability and performance
- Diagnose and resolve complex system configuration, production, and deployment problems; use monitoring and logging tools (Mule Soft Monitoring, queues, etc.) to identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions; communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Design, develop, and deploy Mule Soft APIs, integrations, and batch processes using Anypoint Studio, Anypoint API Manager, and Cloud Hub
- Minimum five years of recent experience in enterprise integration and practical experience with the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
Mule Soft Certified Developer (Mule
4) is a plus - Extensive experience designing and implementing Mule Soft solutions, including API‑led connectivity, RESTful/SOAP APIs, Data Weave, Mule 4.x runtime, API governance, and security policies (OAuth 2.0)
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols (HTTP/s, JMS, JDBC), data formats (JSON, XML, CSV); working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), Dev Ops practices, and cloud platforms
- Ability to independently triage and resolve complex technical issues without constant supervision; translate business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future
