Scrum Master with retail experience
Job Title: Scrum Master with retail experience
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Candidates must be from Grand Rapids, MI, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, or Kentucky)
Duration: 12‑month contract
Primary Responsibilities- Serve the team and product owner in turning requirements into working software.
- Track progress and help the team achieve their commitments.
- Monitor progress daily; identify problems and work with the team to develop corrective actions.
- Manage and report the status of scope, schedule, and resourcing.
- Extract and document requirements.
- Ensure team members understand Scaled Agile (SAFE) processes and support the team in following them.
- Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
- Collaborate with the team in scheduling work, including defect remediation and refactoring, to guard against technical debt accumulation.
- Work with the technical team and product owner to balance interests when issues arise.
- Remove impediments so the team can focus on engineering tasks.
- Lead conflict resolution within the team, removing roadblocks to collaboration.
- Guide project team meetings including sprint planning, daily scrum, and sprint review.
- Facilitate retrospective discussions and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Limit external interference that the team must deal with.
- Degree in information technology, business, or a related field.
- Exceptional people skills.
- Comfortable working with a diverse group of people and capable of serving as an arbitrator during conflicts.
- Understanding of financial controls needed in project management and consulting work.
- Practical understanding of scoping and estimating work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in project management and/or serving as a Scrum Master.
- Management of more than one significant project simultaneously.
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst and/or Tester is helpful but not required; practical use of quality management tools and techniques.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or any other Scaled Agile certification.
