About the Role: As the Manager, Tagging and Analytics, you will serve as the guardian of data quality and tagging governance for our retail analytics ecosystem. You will be the central point of contact for all tagging initiatives, working across internal teams and external vendors, to balance strategic vision with meticulous attention to detail and tenacity to ensure proper tagging produces consistent data.
This data will inform advanced analytics across programs within the Smart Digital business portfolio.
As the Manager, Tagging and Analytics, you will directly influence the quality and reliability of our retail analytics infrastructure. Your work will enable better business decision-making by ensuring that clean, standardized, and verified data flows through all our analytics systems. You will establish yourself as the subject matter expert on tagging governance, empowering business partners and technical teams with clear standards and best practices.
By maintaining rigorous data hygiene protocols and managing strategic vendor relationships, you will reduce analytics errors, improve data trust across the organization, and position our retail analytics function as a trusted source of truth with clients and partners.
- Optimizing and maintaining tag placements across tag management container (Adobe, GTM, Tealium, etc.)
- Data layer validation
- Release management
- Monitoring tagging defects, QA, and troubleshooting
- Owning day-to-day relationships with vendors and developers to identify discrepancies and nuance
