Working alongside cross-functional analysts and operations teams, you will streamline current processes while identifying innovative technologies to advance our logistical capabilities. In this role, you will research and evaluate software solutions, champion new initiatives, train the operations team, and provide task oversight for Transportation Technology Admins as directed by the Transportation Technology Manager.

Role

Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight for tasks assigned to Transportation Technology Admins by the Transportation Technology Manager
  • Collaborates with cross-functional transportation departments to evaluate, select, and implement new software solutions and process enhancements
  • Applies hands‑on technical proficiency to support the rollout and integration of new technology initiatives, acting as a key system subject matter expert during implementations rather than acting as the primary project manager
  • Oversees the comprehensive support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical systems (including Shipper TMS, Private Fleet TMS, Fuel provider systems, ELD/safety systems, and Mobile Device Management)
  • Instructs and equips internal users and external carriers with the necessary tools and training for effective system utilization
  • Monitors interface errors and collaborates with technical personnel to resolve complex issues, ensuring continuous software reliability
  • Develops and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to communicate performance metrics and financial results to management and outside parties
  • Develops strategic vendor relationships to actively participate in and influence future product development roadmaps
  • Maintains system data integrity, including FSC, lane benchmarking, carrier rates, equipment domiciles, user profiles, and access controls
  • Measures the impact of newly implemented systems, identifying efficiency opportunities and recommending system improvements based on user feedback
  • Performs other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technology implementations and system rollouts as a hands‑on technical resource or subject matter expert
  • Working knowledge of ERP (MSR, Epicor), TMS (Intellitrans, Ditat), ECM (SharePoint, OnBase, Kofax), and Telematics/ELD (Samsara, Geotab) systems strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel and MS Access
  • Prior experience with Fuel Card Providers, MDM use and implementation, and Driver/Equipment Qualifications is a plus
  • Logical, process‑oriented thinker with the ability to quickly master new software applications and drive business process improvements
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
