Job Summary: Assist the supervisor in executing the day to day planning and problem solving of the team in order to meet its required level of production and quality expectations while keep the team engaged in operating a variety of extrusion machines to manufacture our products safely and efficiently.

• Analyzes and resolves problems with work orders and assists other team members with problem solving of work orders
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
• Maintains a safe working environment by following company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
• Maintains company's quality standards
• Responsible for training employees
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
• Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
• Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Maintains time and production records
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), three to five years of experience preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with co-workers, other departments, vendors and other site visitors
• Ability to multi task and read production tickets
• Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
• Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to maintain production standards
• Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
