Overview
Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Roll Forming group in Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various machine tools to produce precision parts. Knape & Vogt is a 125-year-old company based in Grand Rapids, a global leader in design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components for OEMs, specialty distributors, hardware chains and major home centers.

- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Set up and adjust machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and EDM wire cutting machines
- Maintain and repair machine tools
- Operate manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts
- Proven experience as a Machinist
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong mechanical and math skills
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to operate a variety of machine tools
- Previous experience running CNC machinery
- Familiarity with CAM software and Solid Works
