Automotive Met Lab Tech - 3rd Shift at SHIVELY DIVERSIFIED MANAGEMENT SERVICES, LLC

We are looking for a Metallurgical Lab Technician to prepare heat‑treated components and conduct testing to analyze material structures, micro‑hardness, and case depth using specialized metallurgical equipment. Our employees are well compensated and are eligible for health care and paid time off.

• Perform metallurgical testing to analyze material structure, hardness, case depth, and other tests as required.
• Follow all required specifications and complete testing quickly to meet production deadlines.
• Review test results against specifications, prepare reports, and approve materials based on criteria.
• Communicate results promptly to the Met Lab supervisor and plant management.
• Develop and maintain charts and reports for the metallurgical processes.
• Comply with all Global Manufacturing System systems and procedures.
• Problem‑solve during manufacturing processes.
• Safely operate lab equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance, and report any issues to management.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2‑year degree or completion of a program in metallurgy or material science.
• Knowledge and experience conducting metallurgical testing, operating test equipment, and analyzing results.
• Strong computer skills; ability to organize and prepare reports.
• Comply with all safety guidelines, including wear of proper PPE, safe handling of chemicals, and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
