Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
- Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) always.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
- Able to fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair tools and maintain industrial machines.
- Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures required.
- Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine needs for adjustments or repair.
- Dismantles machine or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
- Assembles and tests operating machines to verify correction of malfunction.
- May maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
- May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays.
- Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player.
- Good reading and math skills.
- Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- High school education or GED.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
