This machine operator position involves working with multiple balers to bale metals in a plant that can be hot or cold depending on weather. PPE is required: hard hat, safety glasses, high‑visibility apparel, steel‑toed shoes, and gloves as needed.

• 12‑hour shift, rotating days worked.

The Manufacturing Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating equipment such as hi‑lo, loader, forklift, sweeper, or small loader to assist in loading, unloading, grading, inspecting, buying, and transportation of materials. Mechanical knowledge is an asset for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.

• Operate and maintain metal balers and other equipment.
• Distinguish between grades and types of materials using identification tests.
• Perform required maintenance during and after operation.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot, and notify management of any malfunctions.
• Maintain and protect property in excellent condition.
• Prepare documents and reports as required.
• Diagnose mechanical issues such as motors, gearboxes, augers, pulleys, and conveyors.

• Six months of operating small equipment (hi‑lo, loader, forklift, scissor lift) preferred.
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge (conveyors, pulleys, etc.).
• Hi‑lo experience required; loader operator experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Works independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in operation.
