Your impact in the first 90 days

• Establish clear standards and routines for incoming die assessments and repair approvals.
• Partner with engineering and production to troubleshoot recurring die issues and prevent rework.
• Implement robust recordkeeping in Excel to track repairs, maintenance intervals, and inventory.
• Elevate safety culture by reinforcing protocols and aligning practices with industry standards.
• Mentor technicians through hands‑on coaching and targeted skills training.

Core responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day die repair operations from intake through final verification.
• Inspect dies and completed repairs; identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional problem solving with production and engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate documents for repairs, maintenance schedules, and tooling/material stock.
• Train new team members and cultivate continuous learning across the die shop.

What you’ll need to succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certification preferred but not required.
• Proven die repair background with at least 3 years leading or supervising a team.
• Experience with high‑pressure die casting and high‑production machining is a plus.
• Fluency in die repair techniques, tooling, and material selection.
• Ability to read and apply technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and detail orientation.
• Uncompromising approach to safety and quality.

Technical proficiencies

• Tool/Die/Mold setup experience
• Blueprint reading
• Microsoft Excel
