Pay Range: $18 - $24/hr
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick time and PTO after 90 days!
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Summary Responsible for preparing surfaces and applying powder coatings to various parts and products, ensuring high-quality finishes, adherence to specifications, and efficient operation of powder coating equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, ovens, and wash systems.
- Apply powder coating to achieve specified thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
- Responsible for training painters.
- Monitor curing processes and temperatures to ensure optimal adhesion and durability.
- Conduct visual inspections of finished products for defects, runs, sags, or uneven coverage.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and booth.
- Maintain accurate records of production, materials used, and quality control checks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Troubleshoot basic issues with powder coating equipment and processes.
- Assist with inventory management of powder coat materials and supplies.
Requirements
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or a related field preferred. Technical or vocational training in painting or finishing a plus.
