Feel the hum of a busy food plant as you walk the lines, climb the stairs, and keep a sharp lookout for anything that could throw production off course. As the Quality Technician in Kentwood, you’ll turn data into decisions—testing, documenting, and partnering with operators to protect product safety and brand trust. When something’s off, you’ll catch it fast and drive corrective action with the Quality Supervisor and production team.

This role is about vigilance, communication, and real impact across every shift.

We’re a West Michigan food manufacturer with nearly a century of know-how, large-scale co-manufacturing capabilities, and a purpose built around “multiplying possibilities” for people and brands—anchored in rigorous food safety and quality systems including SQF.

Each shift you’ll patrol production areas, perform inspections and tests, verify specs, document results, and elevate deviations. You’ll champion HACCP, allergen control, GMPs, traceability, and document control while aligning plant procedures with quality policy and SQF elements—working side‑by‑side with production to keep improvements moving.

For this Quality Technician position, we offer:

  • $19.40–$21.40 per hour
  • 1st: 7 am–3 pm / 2nd: 4 pm–12 am / 3rd: 11 pm–7 am
  • Weekly pay
  • Benefits through WSI:
Health insurance (HSA options), dental & vision, optional life insurance, free short- and long-term disability, 401(k) with employer match, paid holidays, vacation/flex time, Employee Assistance Program, tuition assistance, and on‑site training
  • Referral bonuses available
  • Potential for permanent hire based on performance

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Hands‑on food QA experience with in‑plant inspections, testing, and line checks; confident reporting deviations to a Quality Supervisor.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, allergen and ingredient control, traceability, and document control.
  • Must be able to speak, write, and read basic English.
  • Physically able to walk extensively and climb stairs throughout the shift.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner with production and drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Detail‑driven with basic math and computer skills (QA systems/Microsoft Office).
  • A $100 bonus for every friend you refer to us, plus an additional $25 bonus for your referral to WSI.

You know quality isn’t a department—it’s a promise. If you’re ready to own your process area and keep great food moving safely out the door, send us your resume and tell us which shift you prefer. Let’s see what your standards can do here.
