Overview
Our client is a large, privately held firm in the Greater Grand Rapids area. They are an industry-leader in manufacturing residential and commercial products and are looking for Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and Controls Technicians to join their team and make an immediate impact! The Engineering Technicians will be responsible for advanced automation troubleshooting, gauge and instrumentation calibration, machine programming, and opportunities to work with PLCs and problem diagnosis.
Thisrole will:
Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance, monitoring equipment performance and adjusting setups, calibrations, and alignments on production equipment to ensure production equipment is running as efficiently as possible.
Desired skills, education, and experience:- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing); or Equivalent Professional Experience
- Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift
- 2+ years of experience, with exposure to Automated Manufacturing, ideally in metals manufacturing (machining, welding, heat treating, coating, et cetera);
Robotic Programming (Fanuc) - High-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment preferred;
- Ability to create a culture of safety, collaboration/teamwork, accountability, and trust.
