The 44‑bed progressive Neurosurgical Unit located at 100 Michigan St – Grand Rapids provides complex care for neurology and neurosurgery patients. Clinical services include spine surgery, craniotomy for brain tumor resection or debulking, elective aneurysm intervention, and acute neurological disorders such as, seizure, chronic headache, Guillain‑Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis exacerbations.

Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably, adhering to professional standards outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and Michigan state law. Demonstrate competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Uphold ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality of practice, and professional practice evaluation.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required within 5 years).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, AHA or ARC (required within 90 days).

Employment Type: Full‑time (36 hours per week)

Shift: Night (Variable schedule)

Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Days Worked: Variable; self‑schedule

Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend
