Travel RN – PCU / Cardiac Stepdown (Nights)

Marquette, MI | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac, stepdown, and telemetry populations in a 36-bed Cardiac IMCU unit at a Level II Trauma facility
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac drips, chest tubes, and continuous telemetry monitoring using Cerner EHR
• Care for patients with diagnoses including chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular conditions, and CHF
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 for cardiac patients and 1:3–4 for PCU/stepdown patients
• Work every other weekend; on-call may be required if census is low
• Float to other units as required and collaborate as part of a team-oriented environment

• Active RN license with Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience; 2+ years preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience with cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

• PCU and stepdown patient population experience
• Low-level ICU skills
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR
