RN - Registered Nurse

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized plans of care
• Utilize the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel
• Communicate all pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physicians and Charge Nurses
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on assigned unit
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Required certifications: BLS (must be obtained prior to first shift), ACLS (required prior to first shift for CIRH only)
• Day shift position
