Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Surgical Step-Down Unit – Michigan

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend required; includes Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday

• High-acuity surgical step-down unit with fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1, allowing for focused patient care
• Diverse case mix including post-surgical patients with complex drains, lines, and monitoring devices
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• ICU experience highly valued and translates well to this unit
• Opportunity to work with advanced IV infusions and critical drips

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience managing chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, central lines, ostomies, tracheostomies, NG tubes, wound vacs, and surgical drains
• Proficiency with IV drips including Heparin, Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• ICU or step-down unit experience strongly preferred

You'll work with a collaborative team caring for complex post-operative patients, utilizing advanced clinical competencies in a supportive and challenging setting.
