We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OB RN Director to lead a team committed to delivering exceptional care to mothers and newborns. As the OB RN Director, you will guide and mentor a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and oversee patient care in the OB department, utilizing the nursing process.
- Identify and address issues affecting clinical service delivery.
- Conduct performance improvement studies and support the implementation of related initiatives.
- Act as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care, flow, and clinical standards.
- Ensure departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and healthcare standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations.
- Provide and coordinate educational needs for patients, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Current Michigan RN license and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
- 4 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (preferred).
- 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare (preferred).
- Certifications in NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, and STABLE (current or within 1 year).
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.
