** JOB SUMMARY** |  || Coordinates nursing care in the Reproductive Endocrinology office. Involved with fertility patient assessment, counseling, and execution of patient care. ** Regular attendance is required Monday – Friday.  Schedules may include weekends as assigned by each department manager with alternating weekdays off.  Schedules are subject to change due to department needs.  Should there be a need to change hours or a schedule, supervisors will discuss the change in advance of making the change unless there is an urgent situation requiring the change.

** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Coordinates and organizes care for patients undergoing infertility treatment, habitual loss, or hormone replacement therapy.
* Provides and documents clinical care consistently, independently, and collaboratively with physician orders and departmental policies and procedures.
* Evaluates patients’/significant others’ psychological/psychosocial needs and develops and implements appropriate strategies. Provides comprehensive education including explanations of treatments, procedures, and test results and/or makes referrals as appropriate.
* Performs on-telephone assessment of patients’/significant others’ needs and subsequently intervenes. Calls same day ultrasound patients with further instructions and assists in making appropriate appointments.
* Communicates, collaborates, and consults with patients, physicians, staff, and significant others in a courteous and hospitable manner regarding patient care.
* Assures compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, HIPAA, and other quality assurance standards.
* Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments by reading appropriate books, journals, and other literature. Attends educational programs and other related activities.## Qualifications
** QUALIFICATIONS and/or REQUIREMENTS
*** Three to five years OB/GYN experience required; reproductive endocrinology/infertility experience highly preferred.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions.
* Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with transporting and lifting patients and equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
