Forefront Healthcare is seeking a Food Service Delivery Driver to join our rapidly growing team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our company was recently named the #1 Best Place to Work by Modern Healthcare.
As a Delivery Driver, you will serve as the main liaison between the food service department and our valued partners at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health, delivering patient snacks and meals to units in a professional and timely manner. This role requires energy, a positive attitude, and a commitment to high‑quality service.
Job Duties- Deliver Patient Meal Carts and Snacks to the correct location during the designated time windows
- Ensure the highest quality of service from Kitchen to Patient Unit
- Adhere to safety best practices while driving and loading/unloading
- Follow food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage
- Problem‑solve and think quickly in a customer and patient‑facing environment
- Work independently and communicate effectively; no question is too small to ask
- Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks in other kitchen areas
- Manage physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing; wear required PPE and uniforms
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience or willingness to follow hospital safety policies on the road and during loading/unloading
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation requirements
- Strong problem‑solving and quick‑thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
- Readily learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area
- Maintain required licenses, training, and certifications
- Handle routine assignments with some problem resolution
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines
- Escalate complex problems to supervisor
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Hourly Wage: $16 - $18
