The Shade Shop is a Hunter Douglas Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI. We provide high‑end custom window treatments, drapery, and motorized patio shades. In this role you will use the latest window treatment designs and innovations to meet customers’ needs in their homes or offices.
As naprav, you will meet with clients to create innovative design solutions that satisfy their requirements. Appointments will range from full design consultation to measurement and finalization of existing selections.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and preferences.
- Guide clients to the appropriate window treatments.
- Finalize order details such as fabric, color, operating systems, specifications, etc.
- Take detailed measurements for the project.
- Record client information in our CRM.
- Follow up with clients regarding quotes and orders.
- Conduct site visits for buildings under construction.
- Coordinate with contractors and integrators on hard‑wired projects.
- Place product orders with our vendors.
- Coordinate installation with the client and our team.
- Proven experience in a construction‑related design or sales role.
- Proficiency in using tape measures, laser measures, and renderings.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction as it pertains to windows.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Salesforce preferred.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods on construction sites.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in design execution.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- A creative mindset with the ability to visualize design concepts in a practical application.

We are a Hunter Douglas gallery with a newly renovated showroom featuring the latest in motorized blinds and shades. We also offer custom drapery and motorized patio shades from Progressive Screens. Established in 1935, we’re the local professionals when it comes to window treatments.
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $ per year
