Smart Building Services is seeking a skilled Journeyman Controls Electrician to support commercial, healthcare, and educational clients throughout the Grand Rapids, MI region. • Title: Journeyman Controls Electrician
• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Status: Full-Time
• Travel: Local travel within the Grand Rapids area

• 3+ years of experience in electrical or controls installation (Journeyman License preferred)
• Proficient in conduit bending, wire pulling, and panel wiring
• Understanding of HVAC and building automation system installations
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting low-voltage systems and electrical circuits
• Knowledge of BAS integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or similar

• Install and terminate control wiring for HVAC and BAS equipment
• Assemble, wire, and label control panels based on project specifications
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on job sites
• Perform conduit runs, wiring pulls, and installations aligned with NEC standards
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers during system installs and retrofits
• Assist with startup and support commissioning tasks for assigned projects
