A-1 Mechanical is on the lookout for skilled Residential New Construction HVAC Installers to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in the installation of HVAC systems and required accessories, demonstrating expertise in quality standards and mechanical code requirements. No HVAC experience is required and on‑the‑job training will be provided.

With proper training, you will perform installation of HVAC equipment, gas piping, flex and sheet metal duct systems, copper refrigerant lines, and wire both low and line voltage to heating and cooling equipment. Execute brazing and soldering of copper refrigerant lines with precision. Manage inventory on company vehicles, collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently. Communicate effectively with company representatives, adhering to builder schedules and providing clear explanations.

Complete all paperwork accurately at the end of each day. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.

• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions for 4+ years.
• Must pass a physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, late nights, and overtime as needed.
