Welder - 1st shift

Job Summary

Birmingham Search Group is a leading recruiting and staffing firm specializing in connecting top talent with exceptional companies. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time position on the 1st shift for one of our clients (DIRECT HIRE).

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Inspect and troubleshoot welding equipment and make necessary repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with welding tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in various positions, including kneeling, bending, and reaching
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Must be able to wear protective gear, including welding helmet and gloves
