Laborer at RAM Construction Services. You will assist in the revitalization and construction of our surrounding areas. A Laborer performs a variety of tasks that aid our skilled trade workers and contribute to project completion. The duties listed are representative of the role but not all-inclusive.
Responsibilities- Perform set-up and clean-up of the job site, including preparing the area, staging, and related tasks.
- Direct traffic at or around the job site when necessary.
- Hauling, digging, moving, and other general labor tasks.
- Lift objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds.
- Assists other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.).
- Use hand tools and small power tools; employees must acquire their own hand tools gradually.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Prior construction experience preferred but not required.
Some travel is required. Must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. RAM will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stays if applicable.
TechnologySome technology use may be required. If so, the employee will be properly trained on how to use software and equipment.
Work EnvironmentWork environments may include seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and areas close to traffic.
ExpectationsAdhere to instructions from superintendents, project managers, and construction plans/blueprints. Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free work area. Follow RAM health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
