Position SummaryThe 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice performs advanced commercial electrical tasks with growing autonomy. This role supports equipment installation, system layout, and intermediate troubleshooting while working closely with journeymen and project leads.
Key Responsibilities- Install branch circuits, feeders, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Perform advanced conduit bending, threading, and routing with minimal oversight.
- Assist with termination of panels, transformers, disconnects, and motor control equipment.
- Interpret one-line diagrams, detailed drawings, and commercial project specifications.
- Conduct intermediate troubleshooting, voltage testing, and equipment diagnostics under guidance.
- Mentor junior apprentices and support overall crew productivity.
- Completion of 2nd-year RTI and OTJ hour requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and Michigan Electrical Code applications.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated reliability, leadership potential, and safety ownership.
