Someone living near the Grand Rapids, MI area, who is self-motivated, able to work independently, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
Trailer Mechanic - Shop Position About the JobA successful candidate for this position will be an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone living near the Grand Rapids, MI area, who is self-motivated, able to work independently, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
WHAT WE OFFER:- $25-$30/hour or commensurate with experience.
- Quarterly performance Bonus after 90 days.
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday/Days! - Paid holiday.
- 401K available after a year..
- Bi-weekly paychecks. Overtime after 40 hours.
- Clothing & boot allowance after 90 days.
- We promote from within!!
- Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
- Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including: ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
- Coordinate with other staff to receive, execute and bill work in a timely & proper manner.
- Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.
- Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
