EXPERIENCED Journeyman Electrician M-F Comstock Park, MI

Compensation: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

We are looking for a proficient Journeyman Electrician to handle the installation, upkeep, and restoration of electrical infrastructure across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously on-site, analyze technical plans and regulatory standards, and ensure high-caliber results while maintaining a professional rapport with our clientele.

• Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, panels, and fixtures, ensuring full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and regional regulations.
• Analyze blueprints, technical specifications, and wiring schematics to effectively organize and execute electrical projects.
• Identify and resolve malfunctions in circuits, wiring, controls, and equipment to restore operational integrity.
• Secure necessary permits and facilitate site inspections with local authorities to ensure project compliance.
• Maintain accurate records, including service reports and client documentation, to ensure project transparency.
• Collaborate with office personnel and project leads to manage tool requirements, material logistics, and scheduling.
• Provide prompt responses to emergency service requests and fulfill obligations for the on-call rotation.
• Adhere to established safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and electrical standards to foster a secure working environment for the entire team.
• Provide guidance and oversight to apprentices on-site to help develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
• Support the broader team by assisting with various electrical service and maintenance tasks as project needs arise.

• Possession of a current, valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
• Extensive practical experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of local electrical standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams, alongside the ability to safely operate diagnostic testing tools.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities to ensure clear communication and efficient project management.
• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated capacity to work without direct supervision and manage the demands of multiple job sites.
• Completion of OSHA training or certification is considered an asset.
• Prior experience working with controls, generators, or transfer switches is a plus.
