Director of Operations at Power Strength Training Systems

Join a Team. Build a Career. Change Lives.

Are you a certified personal trainer ready for a real career
—with stability, support, and upward growth?

Tired of random hours, low pay, and little opportunity to advance?

Do you have a desire to be a hero in your community through building stronger people?

At Power Strength Training Systems
, we’ve been West Michigan’s trusted leader in personal training and sports performance for 14+ years. With 8 premier facilities in areas of Alpine, Kentwood, Jenison, Plainfield, Holland, and Byron Center - we have a reputation built on results and a premium training experience. We boast one of the largest teams of trainers in the private training sector in the country so there’s always a new opportunity for development or growth.

* We talk with area trainers on a weekly basis who are frustrated by the lack of support, feel stuck, and are maxed out with no upward mobility in their career. That is the exact opposite of what we do here at Power Strength - we’ve literally built 8 facilities in the last decade and promoted over 20 team members from within in just the last 2 years alone!

Our mission is simple:
build stronger people to build stronger communities. We’re the Team that the families, athletes, and adults in our local communities trust to deliver.

We provide personal training and sports performance training exclusively in a small group and a private 1:1 setting. We help athletes (grades 3rd–12th & College) get faster, stronger, and more confident, as well as adults ages 40–65+ build durable strength for life.

And we do it as a family-owned, community-first brand with a proven system, expert coaching, and a culture where careers actually grow.

When you join our Team, you’ll have the structure, mentorship, and support to thrive—while making an impact that goes far beyond the training floor.

Seriously - our trainers are heroes to our clients and literally impact thousands of people by what we GET to do as part of the Power Strength Team every single day.

Your Role:
What You’ll Do

As a Power Strength Trainer, you’ll be at the heart of our member experience. You will:

  • Work with both athlete and adult clients
  • Coach 18–28 training sessions/week in a dynamic, small-group environment
  • Contribute 6–12 hours/week to team meetings, professional development, and member services
  • Deliver high-energy, professional training tailored to each client’s goals
  • Modify programs for athletes and adults across skill levels and needs
  • Build strong client relationships, accountability, and long-term success
  • Motivate members while upholding high standards of safety and service
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure every session delivers a premium experience

* Schedule - we provide our trainers with a clear understanding of the schedule and expectations. A typical schedule may incorporate 0-2 split-shifts depending on role, opportunity, experience, and staffing needs. We’re closed on Sundays, and Saturday mornings 8am-11:30am are on a shared rotation. Morning shifts are typically 5:30am-10:30am and afternoon shifts are 3-7:30pm with slight variations depending on the season and opportunity.
