no experience required. We provide paid training, supportive supervision, and ongoing opportunities for advancement.
Starting Pay: $19.23–$22.12/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Shift Differentials:
+$1.50/hour (Afternoons)
+$1.00/hour (Midnights/Weekends)

As a Youth Counselor, you will:
- Provide daily care, supervision, and mentorship to youth ages 10–18
- Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioral growth
- Create and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Teach coping skills, life skills, and positive decision‑making
- Model healthy boundaries and consistent expectations
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated, supportive team
North Homes operates several residential treatment and support programs, including:
- Stabilization Program: Short‑term placement offering safety and support
- 35‑Day Evaluation Program: Comprehensive assessment and treatment planning
- Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT): 90‑day therapeutic intervention
- Residential Treatment Cottage: Strength‑based care for youth with SED
- Teens in Transition: Independent living skill development

Requirements
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of youth? We’re seeking responsible, compassionate, and self‑motivated individuals to join our team supporting at‑risk youth in a structured, therapeutic environment.
Ideal Candidates Are:
- Empathetic and committed to helping youth grow, heal, and succeed
- Strong communicators, both verbal and written
- Reliable and professional, able to set healthy boundaries and maintain consistency
- Team players who value collaboration and positive relationships
- Motivated to learn — no prior experience required; full training provided
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Post‑secondary education or experience in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Psychology, Law Enforcement, or related fields
- Experience working with youth, residential programs, or direct care roles
