Base pay range$16.00/yr - $18.00/yr
Job Objective(s)Responsible to assist Director of Resident Services in planning and leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident’s social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs.
Qualifications- Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Currently possess a Class C license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
- Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
- Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.
- Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest.
- Strong organizational skills
- Good work ethic
- Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English
- Responsible for assisting Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
- Assess resident’s recreational and social needs.
- Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
- Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
- Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
- Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
- Maintain the STSW bus interior and exterior.
- Report maintenance needs in timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
