ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.
Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

- Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
- Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
- Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to assist with their specific needs
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- Receive products, restock shelves, organize backroom, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas
- Operate power equipment if certified
- Change prices, set up and maintain merchandise, and ensure inventory accuracy as directed
- Learn how operations affect inventory, store profitability, and product availability
- Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services to resolve guest issues
- Maintain a culture of safety, ethics, and compliance
- Work safely and report hazards; support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with laws
- Other duties as needed

- You are open to a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays)
- Welcoming attitude, ability to use handheld scanners and technology, and work independently or with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multiple steps
- Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks
Additional Requirements
- Cash handling as needed
- Ability to climb ladders
- Lift up to 44 pounds without assistance; handle merchandise safely; work in varying temperatures
- Flexible schedule and reliable attendance
- Maintain mobility during shift
